I live in Perth, Western Australia with my wonderful husband and three beautiful girls. I love creating, good chats, music and quality time. I'm a homebody, a reforming do-er (I'm trying to learn to not always just 'do'), a learner.
My Occupational Therapist hat has given me a deeper appreciation for everyone's unique life, and learning someone's story is something I love and see as an honour.
I’m a romantic at heart, so I when I think back I realise that a love of moments and photos has been passed to me. Growing up, my wonderful Mum always had her camera with her. Her trusty Canon SLR, with its vinyl pouch, travelled the world with us a few times over. Every party. Every outing. Every day. We’ve got photos of it all! Heading to the photo lab was practically a weekly trip for us, and I always loved looking through each roll. But, she’s missing in many of the photos. Sound familiar?
What I Do
I don’t want you to be missed in the photos from this season. And I’m talking you showing up in more than just selfies.
I want you to know that you were there, and that these moments happened. I want others to see your beauty and your story.
As a photographer here in Perth, I have a natural, relaxed approach and use natural light for most of my photography. I love coming into your home, just as it is, and capturing a glimpse of what life is for you right now. There’s a bit of direction from me: some light posing and positioning at times, and there’s the documenting of the in-between moments as we go along. I’ll encourage you to do the things that you generally do a lot of, as well as have some special moments together that perhaps don’t feel so ‘everyday’.
I typically spend around two hours with you, giving us plenty of time to relax into each others’ company, and capture what we’re after. If kids are involved, I mostly follow their lead because we all know that trying to force a smile rarely works!
It’s pretty low key, relaxed, and fun. It’ll feel a little like we’re just hanging out, but before you know it you’ll get to see the beauty of your season just as I capture it.
